Again, going through the comments on the Engadget post regarding the Sony VAIO viral marketing campaigne, looks like one of the posters has the goods.

Whomever Jon is, claims that the specs for the UX and the AR are as follows:

AR: 17″ 1920×1200 screen, Core Duo, Blu-ray, HDMI, RAID.

UX: 7″ touch screen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Core Solo, WAN, biometric sensor, dual cameras, “UMPC” with Windows XP Pro (not Tablet Edition).

The UX sounds like its has the full suite of features. I wonder what the price is going to be. Considering that its VAIO and its the first generation of something like this, I would expect it to be way out of my price range. Will not stop me from wanting to play around with one though.

If the AR’s Blu-ray drive has burning. That would be key. Like one of the posters mentioned, being able to archive those HD videos will be key.

I am bit surprised that he does not consider the new RC300 from VAIO though that was announce some time back. You can check out the details on SonyStyle.

If you want to be able to do some serious video editing, compressing or anything along those lines, you will want to have a desktop like this, not a notebook.
